Business Bay

The past few years have seen ambitious initiatives such as
Business Bay is all set to fulfill the growth needs in medium to long term. Besides the growing demand of the local economy -- which is projected to achieve an average growth of 5-9% annually over the next few years -- the UAE is attracting increasing foreign investment. Hundreds of companies ares setting up offices in Dubai every month and an increasing number of regional and international companies are working from the country. All this is creating a huge growth in demand that can not be fulfilled by existing projects. That is why Business Bay has been launched to cater to the needs of business, retail and commercial industry. It also features fascinating canals to add to the magnificence of the project, attracting regional and international business ventures and multinationals.

Life at
Business Bay is located off Dubai Creek and extends from Ras Al Khor to Sheik Zayed Road. Business Bay is ideally located for international trade as one end of the development touches Sheik Zayed Road with its office towers housing international firms and the financial institutions of the Dubai International Financial Center ( DIFC ). International hotels such as the Emirates Towers and Shangri-La are also on SZR. On the Creek side, Business Bay is neighbored by Dubai Festival Centre ( DFC ), a retail and leisure development, as well as being close to Dubai International Airport.

Jumeirah Lake Towers
Jumeirah Lake Towers project was launched at the end of 2002 by Nakheel. In 2006, JLT was taken over by DMCCA ( Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority - master developer and owner of JLT ).
Located directly alongside Sheidk Zayed Road, adjacent to The Meadows. JLT has an area of 1.35 million sq.ft with 4 man made lakes namely Almas East, Almas West, Elucio and Allure with an area of 381,000 sq.ft which will be completely filled by September 2008.
A total of 87 towers stand tall in this prestigious project that will become of the Dubai's most recognized addresses, where property investors have been given the opportunity to own and develop towers on a freehold basis.
79 towers are clustered in groups of three and will be surrounded by four calming lakes, beautifully landscaped gardens and unique waterways.
Jumeirah Lake Towers has been planned as a community where people can live and work with equal comfort and tranquility. The waterfront promenade will allow for outdoors cafe's and restaurant, for use by day and night. Community retail, in attached and detached format, will allow for all the basics to be available at close quarters.
Squares and garden between the clusters create connectivity between the larger districts of the community. People living and working within Jumeirah Lake Towers will have a wide range of facilities within reach with quiet community areas with benches, cafe terraces and shaded walkways.
Additional features include pavements fountains, lake fountains, gardens adjacent to avenues, groves of trees, desert gardens and bespoke sculptural features lending to both small scale internal interest as well as contributing to expansive views.
Day care centers and children's play areas have been visualized as part of the community. Children will be allowed to use electronic remote control boats in controlled areas of the lake along with enjoying activities such as cycling, walking and even roller-skating.
In addition to the community facilities, each tower shall cater to the needs of its tenants with facilities such as gymnasiums, saunas, swimming pools, conference centres, high speed elevators, state of the art security systems.
A number of good schools currently exist near Jumeirah Lake Towers, including Delhi Private Schools ( Gardens ), Winchester ( Gardens ), Dubai International Academy ( Emirates Hills ), Jumeirah English Speaking School ( Arabian Ranches ), Emirates International School in Meadows ( On Meadows Drive, between Meadows 4 and Springs 1 ), Dubai British School ( Junction of Meadows and Springs Drive ), Regent School ( adjacent to The Greens ).
The closest hospital is the Jebel Ali Hospital ( in Jebel Ali Village ) with Welcare Ambulatory Centre aslo within a 10 minute drive. There is a plan for new hospital to be constructed near the community. The distance from the airport is 30 kms and Jumeirah Lake Towers is just 25 kms. from the center of the city.
Completion is expected December 2008 and early 2010 for the 8 towers of JLT embankment.
